Description

As a Marketing Officer, you'll be instrumental in driving applications to YCC, managing our social media presence across LinkedIn and Instagram, crafting compelling campaigns, and engaging the student population through digital and in-person channels. You'll work closely with the Director of Marketing and External Relations, collaborate with the tech team for data-driven insights, and coordinate marketing efforts around external events such as the YCC conference. Creativity, organisation, and a proactive mindset are essential, as is the ability to experiment with messaging and find what resonates with our audience. This role is an opportunity to improve digital design skills, as well as lead and manage projects. No prior experience is required, just a genuine enthusiasm for marketing and a desire to make a real impact on the organisation's growth.

Responsibilities

  • The role of marketing officer entails managing all of YCC's social media, primarily Instagram and LinkedIn, as well as promoting across the university, developing a clear professional brand through compelling content and updates to increase our organisation’s visibility and engagement, and further drive application numbers and quality
  • Upkeeping relevant materials on the website and assisting with the overall design, and other related elements such as case studies
  • Creation of materials for wider use within YCC, such as the publication of our termly newsletter
  • Attend department meetings
